Tarot Card Reader Becomes Blackjack Dealer, Gives Unwanted Readings At Table

After seeing a slowdown of tarot clients as of late, one attributed to the ghost of her mischievous ex-husband, Madame Doubledown, 41, has taken on an unexpected new career; one that has left the people of Reno in aggravated disbelief.

“So I pop over to the tables to get a few hands in before the Disney burlesque show at 9, and all of a sudden, I got this blackjack dealer telling me my soft 6 means I need to do the inner work”, said Randall Splitaces, 48, of Carson City, “How about you do the inner work and bust on that 15, ok?”

Other patrons, however, saw value in this unexpected service.

“I thought blackjack meant I was a winner and got paid 3-2, but she told me it really means my sister is about to die”, said Shelly McCutthedeck, 60, “Talk about winning twice on one hand!”

At press time, the table’s Pit Boss was considering moving Doubledown to the craps tables after she accidentally paid out 4000-1 when the Empress card slipped into the deck.
