U.S. State Department Makes Stunning Discovery – Slovenia, Slovakia Actually Two Different Countries

WASHINGTON, D.C. –

In an explosive diplomatic development that’s rocked the world of Eastern…excuse us…*Central* European relations, the United States Department of State has come across information that could change everything.

“I really wish someone had told me this when I got the job”, said Secretary of State Antony Blinken upon being informed of this new development, “Turns out the Slovenian President was just being polite when I greeted her in Slovak. She probably thought I was an a******.”

Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar, when reached for comment, confirmed that Secretary Blinken was, indeed, an a****** for greeting her in Slovak.

“Do you even Balkans, bro?”, pondered President Musar, incredulous that the most prominent diplomat in the world had absolutely no idea which country she led, “Sure, Bratislava is a lovely city, but come on, man. Come on.”

When polled, nearly 90% of both Slovaks and Slovenes were just impressed that Americans knew their nations were located in Europe.
