NFL announces plans to host 2024 Steelers-Browns game in United States of America

PITTSBURGH –

In an announcement that’s excited American football fans the world over, the National Football League has declared its intention to continue shifting the landscape of the game by hosting a contest in the United States.

“We just felt the time was right to expose Americans to this game; they’ve been clamoring for it for years”, said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, “Pittsburgh better get ready! Steelers fans are known to travel well.”

The NFL, in a departure from its usual rotation of games in London, Frankfurt and Mexico City, is excited to see how the game will be received by a new fanbase. Others, however, thought the NFL had gone too far in expanding the game.

“We’re all a bit gobsmacked”, said Rob Limeyton, 43, longtime Jacksonville Jaguars fan from London’s North End, “This is our game. But it’s all a big money grab for the yanks, innit?”

At press time, the NFL was considering a future game in Dallas as well, releasing a statement that, “Fans there haven’t seen real football in 30 years.”
